Hi Tyler,

try to place some free ads at these ad boards in your local supper market. Also there probably are local papers offering free classifieds. Rebel allready gave you a nice text to start with.

Good luck and please keep us posted!

Best wishes,

Christian

Well, earning a reputation in public will help with that.  Even getting your own business card will also help as well.

But, unfortunately depending on where you live.  Such way of earning money may come by quite hard.  A lot of people kind of don't like the idea of a random, and unknown person coming over to their property and just searching around.  What if the Thunter doesn't turn in the ring and tells me they can't find it? Can I trust this person? Developing a reputation will help greatly in that field.  Explaining the hobby of detecting might even help with reputation and hiring.

Other than that, you can't make a constant rate of income.  You may or may not get business at all.  Most people that I have seen try this usually don't end up getting much at all, if any.  I'm sorry for sounding so negative, but its the truth.  I'm not saying to not do it, just try it and see how it goes.  But just keep in mind what I said.

Hm, the ad seems fine to me.  It doesn't have to be fancy, but short and sweet and to the point.  Just be ready to answer some questions is all I have to say. Wink Grin

Employ a professional copywriter Tyler. Your ad copy may doom your venture if you are not aware of the pitfalls. I mean that with all sincerity and best wishes for success. PM me for private help from a semi-retired copywriter.

Just say "leave a message and I will contact you" instead of "if I am not home." Sound professional. Be professional. You'll do very well.
