azrooster, you're in PRIME hunting territory there.   What's your interest?   Nugget shooting and prospecting, mining camps, militaria, railroads, coin-shooting?  It's all down there.   Go buy a copy of the Benchmark Maps Arizona Road & Recreation Atlas.  Go to the  index in the back, and you'll find a very partial list of Ghost Towns and Railroad Sidings.   Then get a highlighter and mark everyone of them that occurs the last 3 Landscape pages.   That will give you a starting point.....just make sure you check to see who owns what and which areas you can get permission to hunt and which you can't....then get permission and go.

Also, if I lived where you live instead of up in the Phoenix area, I'd sure as heck be finding the right people to hunt AROUND (not in) the Warren ballpark.   That's the oldest ballpark in America still in operation.   The car barn for the electric railroad between Warren and Bisbee was right across the street from there.   AND to top it off, the US Army was camping right around that particular spot when Jack Dunn discovered high quality ore in what was to become Bisbee while scouting for them.   There are a lot of spots/vacant lots in Warren that would be worth hunting if you tracked down the owners and got their permission.

For that matter you should find some really need finds in the vacant lots of Sierra Vista.

I know a guy that lives in Sierra Vista and he cleans up on old Miltary Goodies.

You have good gold just up the Hill from you there.
