You can double the sensitivity depth with the Garrett Pro-Pointer by using a coin.
Turn your Garrett Pro-Pointer on then slide a coin ( penny, nickel, dime or small washer) along
it's shaft from back to front until you hear the chirping then back-slide till the chirping just stops
then hold that coin in that position and you will see the sensitivity increase to about 4".
The coin will be positioned near the little led light.

That's a bit silly since I get much more than that on the smallest Australian coin without any fiddling. Using that coin trick just diminished it from 6 inches to your 4 inches so I guess it does what you said. Next time I want 4 inches depth, I'll use that trick. Wink
