Hi everyone,
Surfing the net I found the following website:

You are not allowed to view links.

http://www.adverts.ie/232888/other-electronics/powerful-army-police-metal-detector-md2000/

Here, a guy is selling a PI machine that "is fully NATO codified and is in service with the British Army and Police Forces".
Has anybody ever heard of this detector? I tried and google it but I can only find some pdf files that don't tell a lot. I thought I could share this information with you, maybe somebody will add something more. I am not sure but I think that the manufacturer is Nexus but that's about it. Anybody?
Thanks!

Thank you seldom, I have been trying to find some more info for the past two days but nothing, all the sources say the same. I thought maybe somebody here on the forum may have worked with this type of unit, to me it looks like the whites TDI being a PI unit with a round coil with no frame but that's about it. I appreciate your effort seldom!

Yep..... nexus MD2000.
P.I. detector, water/weather proofed, basically a "militarised" p.i.
Made here in the U.K. (About 7 miles from me!) Shocked ... I think, but not sure, that Eric Foster (goldscan etc) might have been involved at some point.
They still sell this detector so it might be worth contacting them to see if it's (sure it will be) suitable for coin hunting etc...

If you wait too long, this thread will capture attention because of Google and someone else will buy it. Looks like a 10c on a dollar purchase to me.

One thing to remember is that a mine detector is not a coin machine. It finds every bit of metal from can slaw to wheel hubs and that's what it was designed to do. If you want a discriminating metal detector, get yourself an entry level Garrett machine. The Ace350 should be out by now.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
