I have been a treasure hunting nut since I was 16 and at the time I thought that you could only find treasures in the see on wrecks so by the age of 25 or there about I did my commercial divers course and I found out that you don?t all ways have to go deep to find valuable thing in fact the best things that I found were in no more than three feet of water so don?t despair with the cheapo as it can find you things the problem come in when you are looking for things in sand there you WILL NEAD THE DEPTH but so what just don?t go on sand right Cheesy

Ha!  My first detector was a No Name Brand from the back of a Magazine.

It was a Five Transistor, BFO called the Crusader or some thing of the like.

Within 10 minutes  I found a 1954 Silver Quarter in my front yard and was hooked.

This was back in 1972.
