Yes!
They can be very good places to hunt.
Stuff comes out of pockets easily on hills, especially if tobogganing in the winter, or kids playing and rolling down the hill.

Hills are always landmarks. When an encampment of soldiers, travelers or casual passers by make camp in a remote place, they would camp on the high ground to avoid flooding should it rain. Skylining themselves by camping on the exact peak was a no-no because that means they would be visible for a long way off. Thus, most campsites of yesteryear are in a sort of Friar Tuck fringe around the hilltop. The campsite would be off the peak but close enough so they could run up and have a look around if they needed to see someone approaching. Believe it or not, that's an instinctive notion and only ignored by the very few who lack common sense. Look for relatively flat areas near, not on, the hilltop. Can't find any? move to the next hill. Nobody likes to sleep on a tilt.

Hello Tyler,

as the others have allready said tops of hills are often excellent hunting grounds. This counts especially true for Europe as most ancient settlements had been based on hills as these hills beared safety from floods caused by hevay rain falls causing rivers to raise.

Regards,

Christian
