Hi everyone, question i have a chance to go Relic hunting next month. From what i read sounds like a great spot for civil war items. My question is this. I am new to this hobby and own an Fisher F2. I don't think it will do a very good job hunting relics. I think it will not find stuff more than a few inches down. I am not sure but i think relic hunting will be more thank a few inches down. Do i need a different machine for this? Any info would be great. Thanks all. TW

Your F2 will work fine for relics. In the all metal mode (which you should be useing for relics ) You should be able to find bullets to about 10 inches. Larger stuff down to 2 to 3 feet. I found a button at 10 inches with my Bounty Hunter 1100 not long ago. Good luck and happy hunting.  Detecting  Great
