Hey now!! I'm new to detecting but LOVE it to death. I have a White's Coin Master Pro, had a White's Coinmaster for a bit but upgraded, and White's Bullseye II pinpointer. I've been doing pretty good over the last few months and have found some decent stuff. Today was HORRIBLE day though and I'm hoping to get some suggestions...

I was getting a TON of false signals today. 8/10 digs there was NOTHING in the hole, but the machine kept beeping. I'd put the pinpointer down in the hole, nothing. Run the coil across, BEEP. It would claim it was 2 inches down, but after 8 inches, still nothing but a BEEP and a claim of 2 inches still. I called the people at White's and they CLAIM it's sounds to be working fine. I did find stuff today, but it was almost like it was by accident. I have been detecting for a bit now and never had this problem until today. I was really getting pissed. I would notch out all the garbage and STILL get false readings. Was getting ALOT of hits for quarters and 50 cent pieces and NOTHING no matter how far down I dug or how big a hole in diameter I dug. Seems like the pinpoint on the Coinmaster and Coinmaster Pro aren't very good. Any suggestions on what the false readings could be and few tips on pinpointing would be cool... Thank you in advance....[/
