Whats the best best thing to use to clean a dirty smudged screen? This is the first machine I've owned with one but seems to be a very delicate type of plastic material, so need advise please. I've heard of people using screen protectors which I may try after cleaning. Any suggestions ?

Yea, Don't you love that ?   I use a can of air and blow off what I can.   Spray with Windex type cleaner give it a minute and blot   DO NOT RUB  Off the bad stuff with a cotton rag.  Never use paper towel.  Guaranteed scratches.  After the majority of Gunk is off Re Spray with liberal amounts of spry and slow without hardly any pressure at all wipe clean.

The good screens  use a poly Carbonate type plastic but they all surccumb  to scratches in time.

Best your going to do is Post Pone the inevitable.

Myself I cover mine with Clear Packing Tape cut to fit just the window.  It's  magic.  When it gets old you just peel it off and replace . The sticky glue will stay on the screen but comes off easy if needed with lighter fluid.  Clean Cotton and only enough pressure to do the job.  That's my old Indian Secret of the day.

LOL I do the same Tape Trick on my Lap Top Touch Pad.  Stops me from warring holes in them.

Thanks for the info homefire. I happen to have a can of invisible glass that I use on my pickup glass. No strong chemicals and safe for tinted glass. Glad you mentioned not to use paper towels those are my go to cleaners! It reads on the can to not use paper towels as they contain chemicals that cause streaking, at least on auto glass.

I usually just put a clear, gallon sized plastic bag over the control box. From the Dollar Tree with no zip lock. Keeps the whole unit clean. You an also use the clear tablet cover from the same source.

If you do get a scratch, use the visor polish for motorcycle helmets to rub it out.
