Xavier . You adjust the variable-capacitor untill only ONE led stays on . When you approach a target the leds start to tun in one or the other direction .  Cornelius

I have been and still am convinced that if one can make a stable BFO that it could make an incredible machine and lets face it the BFO has been neglected for quite a while now and with the new technology that we have I wonder if it would not be a good idea to revive it?  Smiley

Mindfree and Homefire  . The complete set of schematics is given on page 1 of this thread .  The coill is a very simple coil with a diameter of  16.5 cm  , 45 windings  of  0.5 mm Cu wire . It cannot be simpler !    Now you have the whole thing together . I hope you have a little feeling for building electronics .  Cornelius ( for reaming the copperside  you should use a wood-drillbit and twist it by hand till the copper layer is gone in those places as indicated )
