Does anybody know if the Nexus is a BFO machone? I hear it is BFO design from Bulgaria? However it looks expensive but not well made to me.

Regards,

Alain

Hello Simpson , I agree with you 100% . They are  way over-priced ! You purchase a Metal Detector for it's Great performance in the Dirt/soil /Ground , not for testing coins in the AIR !!!!!!!!!!!!............."$3495.00".. Shocked...Three Thousand Four Hundred and ninety five dollars , will buy two Beautifull Minelab E-Tracs and one top of the line Whites "DFX" !!!!!..... Wise Wise Wise Wise.................Regards.............Eugene52

Bulgarian "Varna VLF" works, such as  nexus.
If You Make it
it works quite well.

Hello Everyone . Nexus Metal Detectors are a VLF IB . The search coils run at 6 to 7.5 khz. Here is a PDF field test file , and a link to a comparison chart , which is questionable ?
Regards....Eugene

I know some peolple who use bulgarian/turkish detectors. Those units, while perfectly usable in the field, are FAR from reaching the depths they are advertised for.

Some other brands : Morsiani, Atlantis Imperator (Turkey), Golden mask...

They generate more threads and posts in various forums than interesting finds at the end of the hunting session.

If they were that good, everybody would use it, because they are cheap.

The Golden mask is an evolution of a former bulgarian detector called "bandito", and "bandito 2".

If that rings a bell....

SEF coils are also bulgarian.

HH

Yes, yesterday I saw this movie:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65ilCdtg7qs" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65ilCdtg7qs</a>

For about 600 Euro I would buy another unit without such problems in construction Cheesy
