Do you know how many times I have passed up on buying the full set from collections in the past? Had I known their value, I would have just done it. Instead, I searched for individual volumes that had something I needed in that particular volume. Stupid me. By now I should realize that treasure comes in many forms and I missed that one.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Seldom  I was a dealer for 20+ yrs and the fisher 2 box is too nervous. It's a TR type and will make u nervous trying to use it in weeds or trees etc. The best so far is the tf 900 and then the Whites 808 model 2 box. the TF 900 has a better ground bal on it than the whites (my opinion) They have (whites) changed it little since it began. But just the battery setup and now I think they took off the guage on top of the box.(things keep getting cheaper made!!!)  shortrib (Bob in swmo) jmo

IS ANYONE CAN SHARE RUSSIAN COMPONENTS REPLACEMENT FOR TRANSISTORS AND IC'S THAT NORMALY USED IN METAL DETECTORS
I NEED A CHEMATIC FOR WHITES BEACH COMBER ALL METAL DETECTOR, THIS A VERY VERY OLD TYPE OF WHITES DETECTOR IT TRANSISTORISED ABOUT 8 OF THEM, AN ON/OFF SW WITH VOLUME CONTROL/CAPACITORS ARE COLR CODED IN 100WV CERAMIC DEW RESISTORS LIKE 26 OF AND 2 DIODES.
I TESTED IT AND STILL WORKING BUT WHEN YOU TURN THE VOLUME UP IT SOUNDS LIKE CRAZY, SO IT WOULD SET AT ABOUT QARTER OF THE POTENTIONER TO STAY OFF IF NO METAL IS AROUND THE COIL, IT SOUNDS WHEN METAL IS CLOSE TO IT ABOUT 2 INCH FROM THE COIL.

I WANT THIS DETECTOR BE IMPROVED IS THER ANYWAY WE CAN ABOUT THIS. I WILL POST THE THE PCB NEXT TIME ILL SIGN IN, WHATS YOUR OPINION ABOUT THIS. DID ANYONE HAS THIS KIND OF WHITES ALL ETAL DETECTOR BEACH COMBER?
