Florin, what detector are you asking about. I think I see a trend here. Are you looking for a detector that will go deep. First we need to know what you are looking for size etc. If you will check out the detector makers web sites they will give you the depth info you need. But using a MD that's practice. If you can tell me more about what you are looking for I will try to help.

Seldom

The Best I've seen a BFO do on a coin was a 1962 Silver  Quarter at 7"...

Not Deep.

That one was runing at 300Khz....

Most BFO of the days gone by could to only a few inches or so.

I think he is looking for a detector for a cache but can not get any info from him.

I got a old BFO that can find a dime at 1/4 in lol but I still use it for relic hunting still the best in MHO

Ok you need a detector that will detect 15 to 20 feet. Is there any iron or steel involved or is it just gold or silver? I know it may sound like we a little to nosy, but to best help you get the right detector we need a few more facts.

Florin I am going to suggest that you look into a good mid price detector from Garrett, White's, Fisher, etc.
New md will come with the manuals you need to learn it's operation.  You may be able to get a used MD with manuals from eBay. Just get the best one you can afford. Also read though the threads here and see what detectors members are using and their finds, that might help you decide on the detector for you.
