I    have toyed with it some.

Some cameras require surgery to remove the IR blocking filter.

This guy claims this set up is IR but in fact it is not!  You Simply Can not    See IR!

I built a set of these and they do filter out most visible light and pass NEAR IR!!

Out in the Desert,  I can see old cellar holes,  Game Paths and other land features barely discernible to your eyes!

Go Up Go Down

Hello All,

I am posting three images for your interest.  The first is an aura taken with a Polaroid on a foreshore.  The treasure, believed to be fifty pounds of gold and silver has yet to be recovered.  The second is a digital false colour IR of my test site taken using an IR filter over the lens.  There is gold and silver buried there, which doesn't show up on false colour photography.  The third is the same site using a digital camera set up for aura photography, the red 'flames' are on top of one ounce of gold.

Best wishes,

David

Infrared is the next band of electromagnetic radiation above visible red light and covers wavelengths from 700 nanometers to 1 millimeter (1million nanometers).  The low end is called near infrared and that is where infrared or false colour photography takes place, typically around 850 nanometers.  In this range photography is not related to the subject's heat, just relative absorbtion ad reflection.  Towards the other end of the infrared spectrum, called far infrared is thermal imaging where photography is totally related to heat emitted from the subject.  In short false colour photography uses near infrared wheras thermal imaging uses far infrared.

Best wishes,

David

 Shocked

Most any film will work with X-Ray!!!  Black and White is Best!!

Made my own using old polaroid packs.  No Longer available.

X-Ray is most simple to make.  And Most Dangerous to play with. Wise

I X-Rated my own hand using a old Diode Tube from a old color TV!

This is not something to just Play with.

I have worked with Micro Wave Communications for years.

People I worked with are dead from Pancreatic Cancer,  Leukemia, and other forms of Cancers! Angry

I am offering a chance to get the book that david wrote and writes about in this thread for free.  I bought the book for the purpose of giving it away in a drawing.  You can get information about it at my blog.
