It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Forum member "Dell_Winders" is the man to help you.  He has used them before but I don't know what his current opinion would be of your unit.  He has been very helpful to me on other long distance locators.   Maybe he will chime in on your unit.

Hello Jefeleon

Sorry for not posting earlier. I only saw this post today.
There is no much difficulty in dealing with the FG80.
You turn the know up until you hear a beep and then decrease it some numbers down. If you still are getting sparse beeps turn it down a little more.
This calibration will detect bib gold objects from a relatively large distance. If seaching for small gold, then you would have to increase gain watching  for not overriding it to the point of falsings.

The more you use it in the field the more experience you will have on the calibration.
Hope this helps and if you have further questions post it.

Since you are from Central America, a region with a lot of gold stories, maybe you have been sucessful already. Well, hope so.

Good luck.
