Go Up Go Down

I read the forum on these detectors, looked like it started a cat fight, so what is the end result?
Is there a long range detector I could use in the southeast mountain area of new mexico, and anybody who wants a tagalong or grunt in this area. I read the PI's work well in wet sands, do they work in dry desert sand too?

Hello Marks,

well basically i doesn't matter which long range detector you would be using as none of them is unfortuantely working. Better go for a PI machine like the Minelab GP Extreme, GPX3000 etc. or even an old Minelab SD2200. All of them are great machines to work in heavily mineralized soil.

Best wishes,

Christian

Go Up Go Down

I appreciate the input, I have been to NM this last summer, and stumbled thru libraries and then the mountains and stuck my head in a few caves, about fell in a old shaft I could see 30+ feet down in the middle of nowhere, it was late july and the heat and altitues can slow you down a bit. I am back in michigan in 17 inches of snow and would like an excuse to leave this and camp out by weavers needle for a while. Glad I found this site!
