Divining rod gets new life as an explosive detection device

"Seems dowsing is coming back, albeit with an unexpected angle. British company ATSC (UK) is selling an explosive detection device called the ADE 651 for between US$16,500 and US$60,000 each (depending on source). The ADE 651 . . claims that it can detect guns, ammunition, explosives and even contraband items from up to 1km through obstacles and even planes flying 5km overhead. Amazingly, it uses no power source and all the operator needs to do is hold a pair of metal rods which will point to dangerous items via "electrostatic magnetic ion attraction".

Despite being debunked by authorities and journalists, the Iraqi Government has purchased over 1,500 units and swear by them."

Cute! But this is old stuff! Rods were used extensively, in Vietnam. Check it out.

To add a bit of humour to this no ending load of nonesense and rubbish I thought Id put a bit of humour into it.

A guy goes into a sex shop to buy a blow up female doll while off duty in Iraq as there was a lack of women.
He asks the salesman what varieties are available.  So he shows him the Blonde one $50 hmmm whats next? so the salesman shows him the black one.  Thats $75 still uninterested he ask the salesman if he has anything special.
To which the salesman shows him the Iraqi model but is amazed at the price of $150.... He then asks the salesman how he can justify the price.... To which the salesman replied well these are special because they blow themselves up !!!!!!

OK gang. Good reading, but...
As I have said in other posts on the subject, the mind is a funny thing to mess with.
I don't scoff at dowsing. BUT...
I have been a licensed pyrotecnition for twenty four years and I can smell potassium nitrate from fifty yards away. I will find it.
No one can smell gunpowder, Dynamite, Nitro Glycerin, C4 or any other explosive device. Not even Dogs.
We smell potassium nitrates. They are oxidizers. You can't disguise it or cover it up.
It's a sweet smell and it carries high on the tongue and deep in the throat.
Dowsing just gives the mind a release or freedom to find the target. The user smells it already.
I have literally smelled a package containing explosives that my Fed ex carrier, or all the chain of shipping workers couldn't. Although it was marked oxidizer.
And I have been doing this for a long long time.
