If you knew which end of an L-rod to hold, I might be able to have a "rational" discussion with you. That ain't the case.

Obviously you have some kind of reading and economics deficit. I ain't buying your "holier than thou" crap. "What the market will bear" is the rule. What part of that don't you understand? Are you communist? That's what you are preaching.

I really don't need skeptics telling me about ethics. I think they are just about as unethical as it comes. Tell me what the price of parts for a metal detector cost. That's not how you decide what price to charge. You have to add up all the years you have worked on it, overheard costs, taxes, insurance, rent, utilities, advertising, telephone, etc. there are many more costs.  Any "rational" person knows the price of parts is minimal. So that why I say you skeptics are deceitful and I truly mean it. When a person works as competition (even if it is only perceived to be) it's unethical. Go take a course in ethics.

I believe you can find gold with an empty Diet Coca Cola bottle. In fact, I have found hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gold with that method. I can prove it but not to you because you don't believe me. I am selling specially blessed Diet Coca Cola bottles today at the special introductory price of $6,000.00 each.

I'm just following your business model, mate.

Here is a link that explains this.

I admit the price of the Raven is too high, but it's not just as simple as how much the parts cost because you could say the same thing about metal detectors. $50 of parts and ad to this the process is automated. And just as easily you could say the fat salaries some make at the metal detector companies are passed down to the consumer. As with any retail store, the mark-up can be very high and 100% is not uncommon. I suspect Fitz makes about that much on ther Raven LRL. For furniture stores it's about 400%.

You know how the stage magician works, you have to watch their other hand. Just looka t what the metal detector companies charge for those imaging units. They are ten times more expensive than what Tim Williams LRLMAN.com sells his loggers and imaging systems for.

Just a rational observation here... but, Tim Williams also sells fraudulent locators based on theories that are scientifically unsound and incorrect.

You should be more careful on the manufactures you endorse. You forgot to mention what Tim's other hand was doing   Wink
