What a great day for a dig. Didn't find a lot but moved a lot of dirt or at least it seemed like it. My best find of the day was a Big Chief Soda bottle but the neck was broken off but i still kept it. did find several ACL sodas but they dont do well in ground hard to find one that paint is still good on. Found a Dallas 7up that had good paint on it and a 10-2-4 Dr pepper that had Dallas on it most of ones i have found have no city on them. I found a Garrets wine bottle that had a lot of writing on it and it was clear not green. and  6 marbles was all i found but im happy with that. Im getting smarter i only carried out 1 5 gal bucket of stuff today. dont have any pictures as everything is dirty and still in truck.

Was going to get over and take pictures of the other guys but they got out before i could. Hopefully they will add more to this post.

Hi, enjoyed reading your post and looking at the pictures. That's a lot of digging - esp liked the marbles.

Lots of research luck and word of mouth is how most people find them. I got lucky and a forum member took me to this place it is huge. He was 10 feet down and still hadn't hit the bottom in the area he was in. If you didn't know where this place was you probably wouldn't find it.

Thanks Flasherr,

I have never done bottle hunting before, and always wondered how the people were finding them... not as if you can metal detect them  Shocked There have to be some sort of signs out there that they see.... I have heard that they also use probes, but again you would still need to know the basic area of a dump I suppose..... Very interesting subject, that needs lots of answers.... good work on your side though...  Great

Flasherr,
I could not get Roy to cooperate and bring out his finds so I could take a picture.
He may get with me and we will take a picture of the entire month of January's finds.
I did not keep many of the bottles I found, I rarely do, but I did manage a few good keepers.
Total marbles for the month is 49, not a Bennington in the lot.......
