Very good photos now, Ronnieros! I like that jar a lot and asked my friends in Zamboanga to help me find me a similar one from the barter trade center. PHP400 each....not a bad price for such a charming piece! Smiley

I am not in the business of selling jars...it seems that's YOUR business. So if you want any, feel free to visit the barter trade center in Zambo. Would you care to clarify what you meant by "  " yourself?  Smiley

Hobbyist what is your point?what are you driving at?are you telling me that all the objects i put are bought in Zamboanga?Frankly speaking I have been to parts in Mindanao but I never had a chance to go to Zamboanga.Nobody is forcing you to believe me.I am just showing what i found and nothing else.Just mind on your own business and vice versa.I think you are jealous with my find.Come on dont let me force you to admit it.

Ronnieros, you have yet to clarify what you meant by "  " yourself. Do you dare xplain yourself, and explain why you seem to be so defensive and touchy? Do you have a guilty conscience? Grin

Ronnieros, you have yet to clarify what you meant by "  " yourself. What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?

OK...for the benefit of all readers, lets recap.

Ronnieros claims that the jar is 17th century Ching Dynasty, and he brought it to a museum. Yet despite bringing it all the way there, he did not get it authenticated! The cost of authentication was a paltry photograph of the object and 70 Philippine Pesos (roughly US$1.50). Do you smell something fishy yet?

Be warned that there are those who subject MODERN POTTERY to an aging process with the use of various chemicals and heat. Such "antiques" are often sold to the unsuspecting naive buyer. Do not purchase any redoubtable items which lack authentication by a reliable authority. If anyone has bought such similar jars for more than 400 Philippine Pesos (roughly US$8.51), you paid too much. Caveat emptor.
