Ronnieros: if I read you correctly, you brought the jar all the way to the museum but did not have it "registered"? I do not know what the registration process entails or whether it is tantamount to an authentication process.
Since you feel the jar is not worth the cost of several photographs and 70 pesos, that speaks volumes for what it really is worth.

hobbyist , you know hear in the philippines  the agents or middlemen get rich . not the grower, owner etc. it is hard selling items here even though it is very old , the cost is minimal due to this middlemen.i am not lucky enough to know of any antique collectors. it would just stay that way.

Ronnieros: so why did you bring it to the museum in the first place?

Hi Ronnieros, I've done the same thing before, myself. If it's not worth the value, you hoped for, why go any further. I just keep and enjoy the things for now and hope their worth increases some time. Makes good sense to me. Sue

I am thinking that with all the gold you are recovering you should be able to buy a better camera !   Cornelius

Hi Ronni
I see your photos arent very clear if you have a macro setting on your camera try taking your closeups with that setting . the standard setting is set to take from portrate to infinity that is about 2ft to landscape .
