Rider many old homes had a specific area away from the house.  they had no modern trash pickup like we have today.  look for low areas in the ground.  a small revine is always a good place to look.  i bottle hunt  on  a occasion , but prefer cache hunting or coinssooting in virgin areas.  i have quite a few old medicine bottles, quite a few of the test tube type with cork tops.  my favorite is an original Hiram Walker 1/2 pint whiskey bottle with the original top and the labels are in mint condition.  GOOD  HUNTING !!!

Hi Paul
Yup plenty of tinnies , up in Darwin they are the biggest grog drinkers in the world . 45 dec C in summer . Most outdoor workers start work early in the morning , by midday its too hot to work so they retire to the pub for the rest of the day .    Be hell to detect up there you could make a living just collecting the scrap alluminium cans  lol

Nice finds - cobalt is always pleasant to the eyes. I like the little green one. I don't recall ever seeing very many green bottles.
