Go Up Go Down

My first detector was a BH 840. Since then like most people I went on to other brands over the years. It seems that sometimes BH doesn't get the respect that other brands do. So I am wondering what has led you who use a BH ?  Performance for the price, starter machine, being a sleeper unit etc. ? Just curious. Thanks.

Bounty Hunter chose to go the way of cheap, Chinese made machines sold in mass markets. As a business plan, that works but their new development is lacking.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Bounty Hunter once was a Formidable machine for the time.  Top Competitor.   As stated by GD they seem to have migrated to the CHEAP entry level Market to the most parts. Made in El Paso by the First Texas Company.  I don't know if they went full blown Chines production or not .  Safe bet the boards are made in China.  I have a 101 and the LS Camo. Both look like they couldn't take more then a few drops and live but they have.  I've had to replace the On/Off Sense Pot on both units. Seems to be a week point.  Over all they look like what they are.  A Cheap Detector.  That being what it is , they sure do find stuff.  Both are dandy coin machines. Kids love them.  The LS Camo was able to sniff out a 14K ear ring backing at 7" in ToT lot sand and you know how small those are.  I sure don't think I would buy one new but they can be had for a song used.  Yea, people give that Look ! Ahh Haaa A Bounty Hunter ?  Guess they've never used one.

there is a Whites and a Garrett rep,
but there are very very pricey.
it cost less (if you can find a way) to buy from kellyco, pay shipping and tax than buy from the local rep.

Customs its not the problem.
Also everything was shipped insured. never a problem getting lost.
Kellyco its not allowed to sell, and ship, on this part of the world, if the “product” has an official “company” rep here
