Detecting This was found by me in New Windsor NY- The area had approximately 7200 soliders & 500 accompanying  support population. 1782-1783 under General H. Gates who was directly under washington 2 miles away. After cleaning, I would say this buckle is in exellent condition for 235 years old.

Town of New Windsor any mountain or woods is legal and soldiers all over, not even counting general knox who was washingtons artilary general cannons. he had his own regiment too at knoxs headquarters new windsor. troops up and down rivers all over here. Fight
