Hi All.
I was searching through my 1812 buttons trying to figure out the best way to display them and I came across this one, I think it is US on the back is a # 6 or 9 and has clearly been torn from the piece of clothing it was attached to.
On the face the soldier has scratched a "heart" I cant quite make out any initials but there is possibly the letter "D" maybe he did this to keep a loved one in his thoughts,
