In my country are stories that the hidden gold from time to time produces a flame coming out of the ground and can be seen in the night!

I'm from Romania and i think it is true.I don't have proves but something happens if the gold stay in earth for long time (talk kg gold).I think it can be explain scientifically but i am not a chemist.

 hello Dac and Homefire, first I think it would be extremely hard to take a photo if this event  even happens!
 I have heard of a smiler event that takes place in south east Asia, it's supposed to happen in a swamp type area and at a specific time of the year. I think around October. This would be a great thing to se such as the northern lights.
 I still find you theory interesting dac, 1 kg of gold would be nice also   Cool

I've heard the legends before....This type of indicator figures into some of the legends  of Mexico and the Southwest.

 Isn't there some story's of fire balls coming from swamp gasses in the USA
 did someone drop some gold into the swamp lands?
 It would be nice to hear some more story's about phenomenon

There are, but there are also legends of these "ghostly" lights or auras associated with the desert ( I'm thinking that J Frank Dobie mentions them in one or two of his books, but I wouldn't bet my favorite detector on it)

I will say that there is NOTHING in the realm of natural law or the known properties of gold that would permit this "phenomenon" to occur--at least as an indicator of precious metals.  If it does occur, it belongs in the class of the supernatural/miraculous.   More likely, it's stories made up to hide the true origin of the wealth from those who were asking too many questions.....you'd be surprised how gullible people can be.
