Hello,

I am a little concerned about giving advice as I am most familiar with Jesuit and Spanish markers.

A lot of times you need to try what fits.

Another words you can not see a single marker and get the entire picture or lay out.  Frequently in Spanish Cache sites there are a series of markers which when looked at together give the complete picture.

Looking at your address I am concerned about my advice as it appears to me you are not in North America.

I would view the marker this way.  The stone to the left of the bigger stone--shaped like a wedge or pointer gives you the direction to travel ( it is towards the top of the photo)  I would consider this a EXACT DIRECTION.

the distance is possibly:  1V, 11V, 111V ( this is in roman numerals)

Is it feet?  Varas? Brazos? Paces, Fathoms?

From one pictures I do not know if it is Spanish, Roman, Pirates, ect

My gut feeing is you are within line of sight of the cache you seek.

I hope this helps you.     Barton

If it is Spanish, the V is a pointer.  Stand behind the rock and look where the V is pointing.  Get yourself a pair of 10x30 Canon Image Stabilized binoculars.  These new technology binos are the cats meow, you will love them and they are perfect for finding "sign".  Don't let the price scare you off...they are worth more than the mere price of $400.

seldom, I seldom think logic plays much of a role in it.   Neither the fact that there was no Spanish presence in Pakistan, nor the fact that the Portuguese Jesuits were only in Pakistan for about 50 years during the late 1500's (and then under the very watchful eyes of Islamic Mughal rulers) is unlikely to dissuade the believers from seeings "Spanish/Catholic" signs anywhere they wish them to be.

seldom, it wasn't made plain to me that this area was in Pakistan.  But it does look like a big V to me and the mark to the left of it could be a bird, which would mean "change direction".  Maybe reverse of where the V is pointing.
