I doubt much of it remains. Most of it was looted by British before they left India. You can still find many of them in the British museum.

India?s antiquities are still being stolen from its museums and temples and sold for millions to international gangs, sometimes by their own protectors. Its sad public and government here do nothing to preserve their rich heritage.

Hello All

India and China are historically hoarders of gold. There must be millions of small hordes and quite few large treasure caches of the Rajah and the great Mogul rulers.

In spite of the looting by British, Dutch and Portuguese colonial powers. India has a very long deep history but never as a united country as we see to day but it was a region of kingdoms that ebbed and flow with the fortunes of war.

Much to discover and recover if you know the right people and places.
