Had another look at them nuggets and they definitely are gold painted stones.

Just like Mel Fisher's museum in Key West. Half the stuff there is fake.

I went to MELS PLACE WHEN HE OPENED IT and it was fabulous, Met all his gang. After the robbery I think most was fake  more silver their and gold than u could imagine. mel was a real guy His museum on the east coast run by his daughter was mostly fake  as they said they had been broken into 2-3 times  It still made ya slobber on yourself.  shortribs

Well I can tell you Mel worked his tail off just to find all that gold and not to mention all the lawsuits he had to endure after he did. He deserved that gold, and may the low-life robbers rot in prison for taking it.
I can understand and appreciate the reasons for using fake items in a museum or jewelry store window, but in a video to get people to buy a product? Kind of like using Glidden GEL paint in ice cream commercials. YUCK! Talk about truth in advertising. However, I must say the actress was a lot easier to look at than the gold. Grin

And that Garrett ATX wasn't half bad either. Grin. A clue to who is in the film is the names on the door. It was filmed in San Diego for Garrett.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Hey Xavier you still in Belgium?  Are ya going back to S.Africa when medical is done? Looks like nice weather in S Africa all the time man that would be the life, I live in the middle of the USA and we get winter and 4 seasons here would like to go to florida to retire for the warm weather but stuck here in Missouri     hope your well   shortribs rwd mo

Yes still in Belgium and not much chance of being able to live in SA again but that don't worry me much because there is a lot more to be found in Europe than in SA but I do miss the family.
