Jesse James Hidden Treasure on The History Channel

seargeantjim:
Living In northren NY I havent been able to go detecting since, well October :( . However yesterday on the History Channel I watched a show named Hidden Treasures and it was about Jesse James. I caught the tail end but they were showing a wall covered in moss, that they had cleared and had a bunch of carved notes in it, and his signature which was 2 J's that formed an anchor shape. They started detecting in this specific area believing there was something there, sure enough they hit a strong signal about a foot and a half down. They started pulling up glass and then Morgan dollar's and a $20 and $10 gold piece, whether or not they planted these there for the show's sake I dont know... but it made my day seeing that. Next they moved onto a large field with some sort of pull behind detector(forgive me for not knowing what the name is [pray] ). They had a strong hit in the field that appeared to be a large metal trunk that was aprox. 3ft by 5 ft. They started digging but couldnt get as deep as they needed to, and of course thats where they ended the episode! Anyone know what might have happened after that?

Thanks in advance, and cant wait to get out there again detecting come late March!

This was a great series. Truly a sight to watch as they hunted for all of the specific symbols and signs to where they had to dig.

I really enjoyed watching the show, but it makes you wonder how much is true. Even documentries have to be entertaining.

That was a good show. Finding markings like that would be awesome. Then it actually led them to the goods ! Too cool.

Ever wonder how many wrong turns they made before "it actually led them to the goods" ?   Just something to keep in mind when you watch this type of show.

The whole show was pretty much a set up from the get go. Brewer and rest that are promoting this KGC and Jesse James treasure trove stuff have one thing in mine to sell books and DVD's.
