Bomber,
Everything to outfit and pay for the second civil war will be found in these rooms, ie: firearms, ammo, money, gold, silver, and in some cases, even uniforms (as well as other things).
Many of these rooms contain the plunder taken during AND after the original Civil War.
I wrote an article long ago about the manuscripts written by General U.S. Grant after the Civil War.  In these manuscripts, if you get an original copy, you will find many battle maps that show the locations to the treasure rooms that hold the plunder from cities like Atlanta.  The newer releases of these manuscripts have, for whatever reason, left these battle maps out of the books.  This was also the practice of many other Generals that participated in the War...they wrote their own manuscripts that contain battle maps showing the locations to other treasure rooms.  Most of these manuscripts can be found in the libraries of various Universities around the country.

out of curiosity, i have seen some of grants maps, and didnt notice any indicators of treasure rooms...mainly forts, and certain homesteads...is there a particular sign to look for?

thanks
also...are you suggesting that the north was doing the same, stockpiling and preparing for a 2nd civil war?
how would he map a treasure room if he wasnt, unless he found them, and recovered what was inside?

thanks

  foolsgold,
Unless you know what to look for you're not going to see anything other than what you mention.  That's why these maps have gone "unnoticed" by us "outsiders" for so long.  Yes, there are certain things to look for.  I wrote about these things a long time ago on a different forum.
As for Grant and his treasure rooms.......he wasn't stockpiling for another civil war, he was trying to get it to a safe place for storing it.  It was most likely The Army Corps of Engineers that created these rooms.... for this very purpose.  It was hard enough to travel with an army and its gear, let alone an army that was trying to carry tons of wealth that had been plundered along the way.
Grant's treasure rooms were meant to increase the wealth of the north, at the expense of the South.
When you research the major battles between the North and the South, and if you know how to read the battle maps (in order to locate these treasure rooms), you will find that many battles took place within eye-sight of known treasure accumulation rooms.

thats cool, in what i have found so far, and again, im pretty new to the kgc, jesse james, and civil war stuff, it seems like you pop up all over google, which i am not complaining about one bit.

i do know to look for 8!  along with some of the codes like B or 13, and M for the owl, etc...
just curious if this would be found in the maps...i do appreciate your help and insight, as i learn to steer my way through this huge amount of info in starting my research

by the way, did you used to post under 'Dign'?
thanks

Maybe I'll have to post the information on this site (about the hidden signs on battle maps).
  I never posted as "dign".

hi, i find this info very interesting....especially the "bent tree" part. i find those bent trees all the time in missouri. i have never really looked close at them to see if there are carvings on them. what do you know about them? some of them have knobs on one of the bends. some don't. sometimes they are in clusters sometimes singly...

This is very intriguing information. I agree that treasures are probably rarely "lost".
I have discovered a mysterious inscription on a rock outcropping on a hilltop by my home.
Take a look at it and I would love to hear some different opinions on it:

I'm having a hard time finding actual images and examples of KGC ciphers, symbols, maps, carvings to be able to compare with what I found.
If anyone could steer me to some good image sources I would be very grateful.
Can anyone make sense of my cryptic enigma??
