If I was ever near there I'd certainly give it a try myself.
The world and his dog have all heard of Dodge City

I stopped in at the Long Branch saloon once and had a sarsaparilla, but that was before I owned a metal detector. No interstate highways go through Dodge City so it's a bit off the more travelled tourist routes. There might be some interesting buried treasures out there - have you noticed that most people on MD forums are from the eastern half of US or southwest? Don't know if metal detecting isn't popular in other areas or they just don't visit forums. Sue
