I know for sure that one cache was found in Delaware Ohio. It is in one of those State by State treasure books. I posted it the other day. Its like someone said yesterday about the military pay that was always buried and the person that buried it was killed or came back and the landscape had changed. Seems always $25.000 in gold coins also. I  thought they issued some sort of paper not money but something that you would be paid sooner or later. I cant remember what it is called.

Yeah sure makes you wonder about it. If they were being chased by Indians or the enemy there probably wasnt much time to bury the payroll. It shouldnt be deep anyhow.

Hello all

In answer to your question: A good researcher relies on various sources and cross references them to get an accurate picture the alleged treasure legend. Work on it until the facts and lead dry up. If it leads nowhere then put that research on the back burner and move on.

. Books are written for profit they have their uses and they are many Authors that rehash the same old story some times embellishing it. It is tiny facts behind the fiction you need to find. Books charts, journals, old newspaper, diary and verbal recollections all have their place. Never rely on one source alone, use as much information you can find for your research.

There have been a few people of this website who are into very big things but I very much doubt you will ever hear too much of their exact activities.

Hardluck  Grin
