I live in the Springfield, Mo area. Has anyone heard of the Nobel Hill treasure from the Civil War era? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There are legends that tell of a cache of Spanish treasure buried in the area of Noble Hill, on Hwy 13, about 13 miles north of Springfield on the Polk-Greene County line. Seen it told as a civil war cache and as a Spanish cache

Been their two or three times looking for the cave but never found it.Sometimes they hide caves well. There was an indian burial mound some few miles to the north of noble hill and the owners had it bulldozed some time back ,then the owners wouldn't let anyone look upon it. It's still their most of it but don't know who ownes the land now. I looked around the mound some 30 yr ago.I've been on noble hill about 6 times since living near by but some other treasure hunters looked for the cave also with no results.Don't know who ownes the land now.
