Personally, I keep my interest in graveyards to taking pictures and leave the detector outside.

Most Cities and Towns do not allow MD in grave yards , they usually have a ordnance in place against it.
i would check with your local town officials before attempting MD at any cemetery or graveyard on city or fed property.

Most deffinately!  Someone see a guy swinging a MD Detecting and they are probably going to think a "grave robber!"

Great post, most old sites has cache located somewhere, and usually tools, other than the detector will be needed.  The 8 acres I am living on the talk is the old crazy man who owned it had buried a cache.  I only found this out a few years ago.  I have hunted a little around some of the oldest tree?s and have hit some targets that turned out to be old fencing.  Its just talk, but sometimes talk pays off.  I have hunted around a very old, but active church.  Next to the foundation, I hit a very good target and using the detector in pinpoint, I drawled out a perfect box.  About the time I started to figure the best way to extract the box, a vehicle pulled in and I abandon the hunt.  Sometimes the timing has to be right when digging caches and you should have the means to cover your digs, such as replacement dirt.  Hunting and digging for some old coins is something people don?t really care about.  Hunting and digging caches is big news.  Patience is essential.
