golddigger is absolutely right about the zinc lids. there was a red rubber ring that was placed on first, then screw the lid on. i ordered some off e-bay to melt down and load a dowsing rod with. did learn one thing. they are not all created equal. some melt easy and some don't want to melt. my twin box gemini 2 will read that lid 15 inches. thats about the depth any other detector will read it too. at least thats all the se would do. i have one of those jars filled with silverplate spoons and forks and the lid is down at 9 inches and it gives very good reading. have fun this weekend=== tenclaw===
