You need a deep PI machine for hunting deep treasures like a GPX or TDI

The pulse detectors with furous and non furous are better at deep finds. Also if u ever believe in some one to dowse a map of the area for you.then do it its only about 50 bucks for someone here in the usa. maybe have 2 different dowsers do a copy of the same map. then decide, will cut down the time and places for you.The 2 box whites 808 and the TF900 are as good as it gets but will only go about 3 feet on a box the size of a cigar box. will go deeper when item is in a larger container. The two box type will disc. out small stuff smaller than a pop can so that helps. The maps dowsed and a pulse detector with a 4x4 head or a 25in head etc. that has a red green light for discrimination would be best. trust me been detecting 41 yrs and cache hunting but I use a few dowsing rods of different manufactors that everyone laughs at but then I'm the one that sometimes find something every one else thinks impossible. think it over. Get a pulse detector first then a dowsed map.jmho.

Joe joe Some  pulse detectors has a disc. on it like a red light or green light for good stuff.looks like that would be your best bet. Don't know if a 1meter x 1meter coil would disc out small stuff at all. The whites TDI has disc on it comes with a 12in head but most of the minelab pulse heads would fit so gives u about 10 heads that could be used up to a 15 or 18 in or a 24in. In disc it knocks down the depth but u can disc out up to a screw cap (2 liter alum pop cap). if needed. just a thought.

Hey interesting stuff, the old pirate fort you mentioned should be a good place to swing a machine and have a look around.  Cool

Thanks everyone for the support. Support is always a push in the right direction. I had gotten side tracked on diving equipment (only thing the wife thought wasn't a waste of money) for the business. Due to price I'm looking at a discovery, at least I can start from there on some interesting spots. One guy laughed at me asking if I was going to swing the whole island with the machine. HELL YEAH! Sure, it took mel a while, but eventually he heard the sound of cha-ching!
If anyone comes across a deal, let me know.
  Good luck to everyone.

Ahh, yes, and about the dowsing. I had a friend of mine who's father used to hide things around the house (and he is a very conservative military contractor whom you wouldn't think would beleive in this stuff) and have them, the kids, find the stuff with those rods. And they did find them! They were too young to know that they were doing some nutty stuff and never thought to question it, but he swears it worked. Anyways, he was here and we tried it some coat hangers (had to trade plastic ones from the wife to my neighbors wife for her metal ones. She thought it was a great deal as she wouldn't have to worry about rusty clothes. The wife is still down two hangers.) He dowsed the place and kept going to two spots. I tried dowsing when no one was looking and kept coming to one area, different from his. Did I imagine what could be a slight depression? When I get the machine they will be some of the first spots to check. I don't want to dig deep holes for what could be nothing, and worse how it is dry right now.  It's like concrete. Good luck.

Hello joejoe. I hunt the beach on SPI here in Texas and we, like you, have very mineralzed soil. Single frequency detectors do not do well here. Dual freq like some Whites machines and the Fisher CZ series do well. Minelab machines sport up to 28 frequencies and really cut through mineralization but with so many frequencies they tend have to utilize a slow swing. Good luck

Man, had a whole page written and it all disappered. Crap- and full of jokes too. Some may have even been funny.
Anyways, listen to these dudes jeyjey, full of good advice. They recommend the name brands alot. I suppose they would as most people here are from the states and we don't get much "outside" stuff. I started asking about mikron and nexus but most have no experience with them as they are from "over there" but may be close to you. I don't hear much bad stuff, but not a whole lot of good stuff either. It's tough. Who wants to spend big bucks on a chance?
Ok, this is my latest enquiry- I saw on the Deepers website that they have one listed called the 2x1. It has both the vlf and the pi in one machine. Anyone see or hear or even use it? Anyone know about deepers in general? It's not too fancy dancy but if it works maybe not too bad. These other 4-5000 dollars machines are still a bit pricy. Thanks.
