Hi,just you might like to see this Celtic silver unit,it was found by me on a dig in Hampshire England,it is known as a heart leaf type .
This is only the second one recorded and is quite rare, the date is 50 BC and is believed to belong to a southern English tribe called the Belgae

The black is patina, some would say don't clean, but I clean all my silver coins. Jenolite diluted works wonders, or just plain old lemon juice soak.

Its not really a patina more like thick black crud, ive tried lemon juice and mild cleaning techniques, may need something a little more agressive

Sounds like you will need to use electrolosis, or a warm peroxide soak, just make sure you check it regular, if you decide to fry it Cheesy
