That's cool. Like Arfie I'm no tech guy anymore since the strokes i can't stay focused on doing stuff like that
anymore and my motor skills in my fingers don't hold up for long. But i do like to see it and watching others
is how I deal with that fascination of electronic equipment etc. You tube provides lots of entertainment. Grin

Sad thing is i have these computer tool kits that are just sitting there. Embarrassed

Hoooo OK that a neat tool box, I'm sure that you will be able to pass it on to someone that deserves it some day. Me it's the eyes that do not want to cooperate with me all that great any more so I pass on as much information to the younger generation as I try to get them interested in electronics. I have one person that works at the home that kind of has become my student, I enjoy getting him all wound up on small projects. I designed a firefly jar, used a PIC16F690 as the heart of the design. I programmed it so that the timing of the LED turn on a bit quicker than the time that they fade off and got them to turn on using a randomize function (it works great) I then got him involved with the prototype build on bread board, then we made a PCB for it that is under test at the moment. this board will be fitted in the lid of a jar with the LED;s dangling at different height's, the glass of the jar will get a green tint on it too. I will post more photos as we get closer to the completed firefly jar.

I ran out of photo resistors, went to the shop and they had run out too other wise I would have one up and running tonight for you. I know that they will have a new stock on Thursday so if the weather is good I'll pick some up.

X-Dude can you email me how to make it and what is needed coz my Son really loves electronics he's going to college studing Electronic engineering at the moment, he's only been going for 3 or 4 weeks and he is still top of the Class,
