Sounds like you could of used one of these Homie. We have a ditch in our front yard I think I'm going to have to build a retaining wall around. Can't jump accross it when the rains are hard. ground keeps eroading closer and closer to the house over the years.    Thats a good video there  Homie, had to share that one.....

We live just off the Membress River Flood Plain. Some time things go wild.    One time I had a jon boat on a trailer and forgot to clip it to the Trailer after working on it.  We Flooded and It was 200 yards down stream in the Bushes.  My well is right there but the stand pipe is 3ft tall.  Other wise it would contaminated my well.

That reminds me of the Duck Dynasty program where there john boat was in the tree caused by a storm. I think I would raise that pipe your talking about a few feet  more! You'll have to put some pontoons on the van!! Make for a nice little custom houseboat!!!

Life  is what it is.   Life Happens.  Nothing you do will change it.  Move to Higher Ground and something else will happen just as bad.   Life give you Challenges and Nothing you do will stop them.    You just have to role with the Good times and Suck up the Bad.

I saw Bob Hope Christmas 1966 in VN.

I was 11 years old in 1966.  They used to bring the medivac buses down our street bringing the wounded to the hospital there at Clark AFB

Anyone else dealing with all this wild weather?
Wind . tornadoes.  Rain. Hail etc ...

Its not wild here in Vancouver, just strange.  We've had almost 30 consecutive days of SUNSHINE in the rainy city.  Good for me because I got everything moved without getting soaked but I am not a fan of the sunshine.  I like it cloudy.

That's right.  You might go your whole life and dodge the bullet but then again you may wake up some day and have your catastrophic event.  There's no rhyme or reason to it.

boy don't we know that.  As a family we have lived thru
a flood water got so deep it buckled all the floors.
we were out of town at the time.

a tornado that ripped the roof off the house and the screen door.
We were in the house when it happened.

and a fire. That started with a Mr. Coffee coffee maker.  We were the 365 home that year to burn down
due to the faulty on/off switch.  At least we weren't home at the time.  But we lost everything.
Spent thanksgiving, Christmas and new years in a hotel room with the 5 of us.

but through it all it only made us stronger.  And thank God we had Insurance.

So you're right roll with it and move on.  We've been doing that it seems like our whole married lives.

Posted on: October 14, 2014, 10:52:21 pm
Forgot to mention the Mr coffee coffee maker was plugged in but in the OFF position.

Posted on: October 14, 2014, 10:55:39 pm
And that's why we always unplug the coffee maker when not in use.

Shocked Well I'll be unplugging mine from now on, there are over 100 residents where I am and some are in a wheel chair, others cant remember their names. Can you imagine the drama if i were to set the place on fire?  Ya scared the crap out of me mate.

I hope it did. Cause it sure scared us.

Nothing is worse than having a police officer show up on base and come find you to tell you that your
house burned down.

Alien Country and Western singers are going to take over Nashville, I have found the evidence,  And their new single  (I'm along Way From Home) is due to top the Hot 100 anytime soon,

I warned ya but youz wouldn't listen,

He contacted me by PM and I told him straight up that I knew nothing about that machine. I also told him that even if he has a really big, deep target it is unlikely to be treasure of any kind. We all dig hundreds of items and get a 1 out of 20 return. In other words, 1 out of 20 is a keeper. The rest is trash. Why would anyone want to dig up an automobile sized target with that kind of ratio of return? I mean, some days it's more like 1 keeper out of 50.

Weldone GD, I don't know what the devil that gizmo was he posted so I thought it needed someone with brains to sort him out,

Thanks Mate,
