Yeah, For 39 years I searched for a sound that was in my head because I had heard it when I was young and this Guitar makes that sound,

I'm Buying the Eddie Cochran Model next, That's the Guitar that changed History and Gave us Some of the most Iconic Songs from the 50's,

Go Up Go Down

Well guys tomorrow we lay to rest an old friend and a combat veteran.

Nothing tears me up more than a military funeral.  When the rifle salute and taps plays.
it always tears me up. I've lost a lot of close friends over the years and these military
funerals I find to be gut wrenching.  I know what the family is going through is a lot worse.
but every time I attended one of these and believe me since desert storm, I've been to more than
I care to remember.  But every time it seems to bring back the memories of all those friends I've already lost.
and maybe that's it. Its really the memories that keep flooding my memory that's causing these gut wrenching
feelings.  Sometimes like now I feel like I shouldn't go. But I know I have too .

Thanks for letting me clear my thoughts.

Karl,
Sorry to hear about laying a friend to rest.  I know what you mean.  The worst Viet Nam flashback I ever had was at the funeral of a young man killed in Iraq.  I knew and worked with his dad for a while.  A speaker said a small phrase, and boom, I was right back there in the middle of everything.  They had a graveside service afterward, but I could not go to that.  Military funerals, especially of currently serving soldiers killed in current service are very had to handle.  And when it comes to service friends it gets worse.

My condolences to you and your friend's family.

Thanks guys it's been a long day.  A four hour service with military honors etc.
I haven't cried this much in a long time . Brought back lots of memories etc.
I'm glad Iit's over.  But I still miss my friend.  Don't know if I can handle another
one of these anytime soon.

At least tomorrow we have a happy occasion to celebrate.  Our middle daughters birthday.
Put it off from Friday to Sunday . Just hoping everything is better tomorrow.

Hey John . Calm down on the yammer guys and just have fun with them .
It's not worth you letting them get you upset.
Not good for your blood pressure either.    Shocked

Go Up Go Down

The next few days will be full of last minute shopping and food arrangements for the big day on Thursday. We don't spend alot of money but it still seems to take a lot of trips out and about!  Peace on earth and good will towards all of you!

I had a Deluxe Reverb when I was a kid.  Boy I wish I still owned it!

We live in a world of sorrows mixed with blessings, don't we?  May you all have more to be thankful for and less sorrow in the days to come.
