  Gold Rings and Nuggets are two different animals.  Rings have a pile of copper in them.   Old ones silver.

I agree......but I'm still amazed what a GOOD VLF machine can turn up in highly mineralized soil.   My Lobo definitely is not afraid of mineralization and I have a ways to go before I can say I mastered that machine.  I do know that it will pick up small picker-size targets at depths greater than 8 inches.

That MXT Pro with the 12"/300 coil I use to have would Rival a PI in good Ground, But Saying that my new PI will double what my other machines could do on those Cut half Hammered coins in Air Tests Yet every one keeps saying they don't air test well and so does Whites, So heaven knows how deep it will find them because it picks em up at 10 - 12 inches and that is double what the VLFs I had did, So if that is what they call not Very well I cant wait to see what it does in the ground,   Shocked

I am looking at the New Garrett ATX at the Moment, I Love that Combat Look as they have Made it out of the Garrett RECON mine sweeper Machine, I was going to buy the Recon back before I moved here.

Finally  got  warm enough  to  go detecting  and I had to  get my eyes dialated.
