Don't get him started.  He just built a huge pit, he's done roasted a hog or two and did'nt invite any of us...lol ...................How come some posts have the green box for "THANK YOU" and some do not? Thought they all did....

Thanks Homie,  but Cache is right i had a hog pit / cooker built it will hold 2 400lb hogs.
There's a burn box for all the hot coals and a trap door in the cooker so you can evenly spread the hot ashes.
Takes 5 to 8 hours to cook a bog till the meat literally falls off the bone.

And yes we put an apple in its mouth just before lifting it off the cooker.

We have fed as many as 120 people at one of our cookouts.

If anyone would like the plans on how to build it. I will gladly share them with you.

Let me add , that this is a permanent structure.
There are plans available on the web for temporary cooking pits.

It does not appear on your post, and disappears of others if you thank them. Otherwise you could thank someone any number of times as well as your own.

I was playing around with Google Earth this morning (middle of the night stuff, you know how that goes) when what to my wondering eyes should appear but a genuine, bonafide, verified Alien Crash Site near Beatty Nevada. Google Earth coordinates are printed on the image.
