Sure they still work, I take care of them well, wash off with fresh water, Dry with microfiber cloth, lube & then a slight polish. There all all sorts of brands, and I have no idea why other than light weight, why they cost as much as they do. I have a couple Penn rods & reels, and a nice Shimano Tiagra Gold Ti coated reel.

This is 2 models newer than mine, but it's basically the same reel, just about 50% higher in cost now..

Oh, we can't forget the bait...

You guys find them aliens see if they have something to get my blood pressure back under control.
About every 2 years i go through this and they have to readjust my meds. They need to hurry up cause
I need to get outside and go Detecting.

I wish it was that easy jim, but the seizures are happening at least once a day finally got into see a new neurologist
So on new meds , trying to get dog certified as seizure dog.

If it's not one thing it's another.
Anyway happy hunting, hope you guys are getting out and digging.

 Hey guys , the new meds seems to be working
Yesterday put the wifes van in the shop for repairs 1k $
Then took the  big dog 99lbs to the vet. She's there till Wednesday another $1k
So it's been a 2 thousand dollar week already and it's only Tuesday.

And i forgot to get the detector out of the back of the van. So i hope it's still there when we get it back tomorrow or Thursday.

Thats 3 so hopefully I'm done with bad stuff for a while now.

But on a positive note. Ill be in the mountains this coming weekend.
