LOL,  I get it Big A Mist  Grin Cheesy Cheesy

I see why these 4x4 fridges cost big bucks, I has serious cooling power and it runs on the smell of an oily Rag. I think it and my 4x4 Compressor are the two best things I have bought for my Truck, the compressor will Air Up a 37" Tyre in 90 seconds and it's portable, it cost almost as much as the fridge.

I'm working on it,

Touching stuff that is that cold really starts to make your hands Ache At -23.6*c /-10.48*f+ is cold enough to kill a person add a 10mph wind chill is about -34*c/-29*f I can believe it to, I bought my 4x4 freezer back in 2016 and I have used it a few times but this is the first time I have ever tested it like this, I am sure if I packed it right it would go colder.   Shocked

The ARB is the Blue and Grey 47L/50 Qt one has a Danfos Compressor which are the best you can get and it can handle temps of 122*f, and the Dometic/Waeco Grey and black one is a 35 Qt peltier that drops to 30*c or 54*f below the ambient temp, and it cycles on and off just like a normal fridge which is great for short trips because it only uses around 8.8 watts when in eco mode but on average I'd say it uses about 13 to 14 watts but depending on the temp that can rise a little but not much, But if you put a couple of them blue Ice blocks in there it stays below 3*c/37*f for about 24/36 hours at 70*f and the Blue and Grey uses about 10.04 watts and on AC power it will use about 0.36 to 0.38 Amps and on 12V it uses about 0.5 to 0.6 Amps. so it will run for days in the Truck.

Yep, using better materials and tighter tolerances they can do the compressors quite small now.  I have  Dehumidifier with a compressor from back in the 80's.  That thing is like 7 or 10 inches tall and wide.  They have them half that size and twice as strong now.    Going to make a Vacume Pump out of that one some day I keep telling my self.  30 years I've been thinking that Huh?  LOL

Well you should fit it to a Nice quality cooler because it would be Awesome, That little Grey and Black one you can buy second hand on ebay and it is very thermally efficient when it got down to temp once I turned it off one night and it was still cold the next morning and it has 12v and 110/240v Auto switching meaning that if it is plugged in to 12v and you plug in the 110/240v lead it will switch over to 110v/240v It don't weigh 20 Lbs I think, and they make a 35Qt, and a 24/5Qt and a 14Qt models

That Blue and Grey ARB will achieve 0*f with the outside temp of 122*f and I have seen it drop down to -12*f OR about -25*c.

"" Well you should fit it to a Nice quality cooler because it would be Awesome, ""  John that would require Gassing it and refit, recharge.  More issues then I would wish to contend with.  The Expansion Line ( Bit that gets Cold) is nothing more then about 3ft of copper pipe in a single spiral coil configuration on the back of the box.  It had a Drip pan to collect all the condensed water hanging on the back . Lost over time.  Some what a pain in the Rump to use.  You had to dump the water about twice a day last time I used it.  I'll have another look see next time I come across it.  May be able to get it all apart as a single unit ?  That would be worth a play.

I had some experience with the old thermal, heat transfer fridges in the 60s. Most used a small gas pilot flame on a .... Think it was ammonia loop.  Also ran on 120VAC / 12VDC using a heater coil. Used the 12V on the road and gas when parked. Used to take 12 hours or so to make a minature tray of ice!!!  Dometic made a lot of them and was one of the better manufacturers. The gas pilot would blow out and the thermocouple would shut it off. Course you didn't notice till your fish fillets tried to escape!!!
