I'm  100% VA rated disabled along with 100 on social security disabled.
Ft.Campbell doctors gave me  5 to 10 years before I'd be bed ridden and I'm only 54 I passed the 5 year mark this  year and plan on passing the  10 year mark also.
So don't give up  I'm not.  Wife and I  are finally going camping this weekend  didn't get to go the previous time.
I'm bringing a detector and plan on doing the  swim beach .

Guys say a prayer for those dealing with  hurricane Michael

Have fun and keep digging.

Not yet mate, I am still waiting for my bones to knit back together, I have had troubles with scars healing etc and I got my Pin Pointer and found Metal things in my Chest   Detecting  I have a lot of numbness in my legs and also some soreness, And I have some serious scars on my legs so my days as a super model are numbered.   Grin Grin Grin   Great

I'm 100% VA disabled. Social Security wouldn't give me any disability because I had retired from a civil service job and wasn't eligible.  72 years old and just got 10% about a year-and-a-half ago.  Good luck Karl with everything.  Have fun camping!

My granddaughter and her husband (Air Force) are in Perry, GA, just south of Macon and the eye of the storm went right over them last night. I think it had been down-graded to a tropical storm by the time it hit them with winds about 50 mph.  Haven't talked to them yet today but will soon.

I sure screwed that reply up last week!   I managed to put my reply into Karl's quote, then I messed up my reply by saying I was "72 years old and just got 10% about a year-and-a-half ago."  I am 72, but I meant I got the 100% VA disability about a year-a-half ago.

So, how are you doing Karl?

Congratulations on getting 100%
Here in Tennessee if your 100% VA rated you no longer pay property taxes and get a free hunting and fishing license for life you also get the Federal parks card America the beautiful for free and a free permanent liscence plate.

Yes, Karl, I get the federal parks pass and the hunting-fishing license for life also here in Oregon.  We do get a discount on property taxes of about 20%, too.

My granddaughter in Georgia is doing fine. Hurricane Michael pass right over them when it was a cat. 1, but didn't do much damage.  Their power was out for about 16 hours, but that was about the worst of it.  Doing great otherwise.  Thanks for asking.

Ruddy is 7 now and growing like a weed.
He's the biggest kid in his grade.
Our other grandson turns 3 in January and both the grand girls are 15 months and 11 months.

And surprise a new grandson is due in February.

So I've got plenty of help to go metal detecting with for a few years lol
