Cache, the discussion you and RR and Carl had yesterday about batteries is a good example of the type of information we'd like to see spun off into a new thread on one of the other boards so that it doesn't get buried here.  We know neither you nor the moderators are going to catch every instance, but if the folks that hang out here and the moderators that check in from time to time, can keep their eyes open for those little gems, the board as a whole will benefit.   I only came across that discussion because I was checking up on something else.

I totally understand what your saying BA. I believe that I started the battery chat when I posted I like having one  9 volt battery better than 4 double A's when we where discussing the Ace 350 detector.  The battery conversation toke off from there when in fact we we're talking about the Ace 350. The conversations here, blend together,  twist and turn like the oceans tide. Who knew there would be such a discussion about battery's? Who knew my simple statement about the 9 volt battery, was going to turn into a full page or more discussion about batterys...lol   This does'nt only take place here... It happens on other topic's as well, when one make's a joke, or snide remark than the conversation heads off in another  path at times.....

I agree.  The big difference between here and the other threads is this particular topic goes on forever.   What we're thinking is that when one of these topics starts to get interesting it would be nice if someone would cut and paste (or copy and paste) the relative portions into a new topic on the correct board.  If a moderator catches it soon enough, we can split it off, but if there are more than a couple of responses, it is easier to do the paste thing...which is something anyone can do.

I have tryed myself to do the cut paste thing, I guess I just don't know how to do it here? When I try to cut and paste, the whole post light's up in blue and not just what I want to cut out of the post.  Otherwise quoting a post and than cutting out the un-ness. I find works. I'll sure keep this in mind when I see a post go array with good info. that I think others would benefit from. Thank's

I am just going to speak for myself and say I love this topic because at times it gets to be quite dynamic. Topics that have bounderies take more time to change  and get new ideas. We have plenty of those here already for those who need and want them. This topic has something for everyone. I myself will try my best to place posts wherever the would receive the most interest. But I'm human just like you guys, and when I get my nuclear blaster in in my hands, I become secret agent with many monikers.  Funny Detecting Police Crazy Idiot Idea Fight Cheesy

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

this is an example of cut and paste from the discussion. when the whole thing turns blue on you, simply click again in the midst of the field to un-select the text then press and drag though the portion you want, right click, copy.
Cache are you getting clobbered with this snow? I had to drive to Wichita from Woodward this afternoon and it got crazy before I got home.

sorry I missed the battery discussion. I buy batteries for my Ace from Dollar Tree. An 8 pack of sunbeam AA's costs $1 plus tax. less than 2 cents an hour for batteries.

Well we can open a new thread just for that subject Because I think that the options are from one extreme to the other, I think it would be well worth talking about,??
