I saw the vehicles 5 across, the another section I got squeezed out by a bus and a SUV. Good way to start the winter driving season

Chris,  just a little practice to sharpen your driving skills and dull your wits to be able to survive the winter driving season ahead!   Shocked

I've seen a lot of documentaries about Canada and I must say that it's a beautiful country, not to mention that you have gold very close to the surface, but your winter Nahhh I don't think so mate you can keep it LOL  I only want the summer. I've been at -20c and it just aint the thing for me I don't like walking in the snow and I dislike the cold even more but I would love to visit Canada in the summer. French and English side

Haha...Poptop, we have a national holiday when the summer lands on a weekend Cool

X - -20C is nothing, that's a good winter day....it's the -40C plus wind chill that are the ones to worry about Smiley  Cheesy

Arfie - I have see some wierd driving in the winter months here.  I just put the truck in 4x4 and stick to the middle when I can.  First snowfall around here is the worst, for some reason everyone forgets how to winter drive, which is odd since we do it 8 months of the year Smiley

Go Up Go Down

In my parts, we get snow as early as late September (but it usually doesn't stick around until late October or early November) right into April.  I think it was last year we doubled our season snowfall with one 3 day storm in April.  That was a lot of fricken snow Smiley

Canada winter is different based on where you are at.  West coast, it's all rain for most of the winter.  On the east coast, they have some wicked dumps of wet snow that can be measured in feet instead of inches.  My area, we don't get many of the winter chinooks like they do down south, so we stay a constant below 0C (with the odd day getting into the plus temps) and a decent amount of snow for the year.  Where my Uncle is up north, lots of cold temps, and lots of snow.  I have visited him June and still seen ice covering one of water falls on the river by his location.  It's a pretty cool site.

Grin Grin I'd say with all that ice. Here where I am the temp in winter can drop to -10c but normally is around -0 to -3 BUT we only have three months of it and that's more than enough for me LOL
