I'm out too!  Very well said, John!  All your posts make great sense and say it like it is.  And I would really like to know where the TV producers and directors get all these buffoons to be on the T'hunting shows.  They must look deep in the wells and away from the serious hobbyists to find these guys and girls!

Bravo well said to all.

OK if it were a show about aluminum crash sites.  We would all be waiting in line.  Grin

That's right Karl!  I'm just champing at the bit waiting for the call!   Rider   Wink

Well if they aint got the picture yet they sure never will GO AWAY I was just thinking of these two guys they have on Discovery, they yell like a nut that escaped from some mad house when they find a stupid cartridge shell, pathetic I tell you and if that's all they can come up with then I'm not bothered watching TV any more.

Go away and find some amateurs who know nothing, chase after Federal Reserve Notes, Confederate Gold and Yamashita treasures. That's where all the action is.

(That will get them looking,eh?)

I'm with GD here.   They need to spend the money and time on the Yammy Folks.  Yep.

Just think of the footage they can get?   Man now that would be a show.    Treasure Positive Sites?  Treasure under Rocks?  That Yellow or Pink Stone.   All the rocks that  look like critters?   Yea, that's the Ticket!

Not to mention the Poison Gas and Booby Traps.

Well This person needs to know we are not a bunch of star struck fools and what we are has cost each and everyone of us Years that we cant get back and thousands of Dollars earned by sweat and Tears that have been invested into where we are today,  Each and everyone of you should be proud of what you have done and Learned, no two people here know the exact same things which is what makes you all important, Like pages in a book.

If you added up what we have all spent alone we could buy a small country, when you add on fuel Batteries time etc etc then its a lot more, and someone says I got a camera line UP, Then I ask who are you and what have you invested into this joint venture, Along with what are you going to invest but most of all what are you going to Give Back.

A forum is about Sharing and helping others, Its not A supply Store for movie makers to use as a FREE RESOURCE and then make money out of us,

I suggest that if they want help then Like they Pay Stars to play parts in their films that maybe they should Pay the Owner to help cover his cost of running this forum and not see this place as a charity To which they can Exploit for self inrichment,

Maybe we shouldn't have told them about the Yammie guys and the KGC guys. That might make trouble for both of them.

(Bwahahahahaha!)

I'm with you guys.  I'm out.

But really, who would watch TV if it were not fantasy programming?  No one would watch us digging pull tabs and rusty nails. I just got back from a vacation trip back to WI. and found a grand total of 8 cents and a pile or trash. Man I made out like a bandit.
I don't think I am alone in saying, I'm not detecting to get rich.  He!! I don't ever expect to break even with buying batteries let alone gas to the places I visit!  I guess that's why I won't be getting contacted for the show.    Cry Cry Cry lol.
As for the yahoos on the discovery channel, I would wager their finds are planted, if not I can see one getting excited finding a target.

Go Up Go Down

Like every so called "reality show," they won't show someone digging up 400 pieces of trash and finally getting one coin that has been dinged up by a mower. They won't show the 25 pounds of can slaw, bucket of bent, rusty nails or the gazillion pop tops. They'll salt a patch with some coins and pretend that's what happens every time these "experts" go out.

Absolute nonsense. As usual.
