'tis indeed sad, but you don't have to go far to find old towns re-emerging from reservoirs....Lot's of examples here in the US.   Too bad most of them are "restricted" even when they surface.

Happens  right here in middle  Tennessee  when Percy  priest  lake gets low also.
east Tennessee  with several  lakes  out that way.

Read the   history  of  most lakes  created for TVA  or the Core of engineers .
The majority  flooded valleys ,  where small  towns  were forced  to  move.

Underneath  these lakes are the ruins of old towns  churches  graveyards  and farms .
